Our group has been in existence since 1976 and is continuing strong with the help of dedicated ham radio enthusiasts such as yourself. We began our days as a C.B club fondly named the Collingwood Emergency Search and Rescue Team and Social Club. In 1991 we expanded, and became the Collingwood Elective Radio Teaching School. We can boast of providing a variety of services to the community and abroad. If our help is ever required during a crisis, we are proud to be a part of the Town of Blue Mountains Emergency Measures Plan. We are also affiliated with the Grey County ARES should our assistance be required in neighboring districts. We also offer our time to a wide range of local events and charities. Just recently we provided the communications for the Collingwood Triathlon and the Collingwood Elvis Festival parade. We're not all about work though! We like to have our fun too. Ever been on a foxhunt? It's a great way to get out and enjoy the day. You haven't had this much fun looking for your friends since the days of Hide and Go Seek! Have children at home? One of our favourite activities is just for the little ones. We have the honour of providing the Santa Claus Net . Santa's HOHOHO's can be heard booming over the 2 meter net every year at Christmas time.
New to the world of Ham Radio? We can help! Fully qualified operators are at hand for Teaching and Examinations for new Amateurs. We hope you will join us!
